  • About the Role

    eGlobalTech, one of DC's fastest growing technology consulting firms, is looking aor a Staff Accountant II to join our team in Arlington, VA.  The ideal candidate will have experience working in government contracting and will be responsible for full life cycle Accounts Payable and serve as a backup for Payroll.     Responsibilities

    • Responsible for full life cycle accounts payables, to include vendor’s source documentation, routing invoices for approval, set up vendors, process vendor payments, verify and prepare for voucher entry into the Accounts Payable application module for vendor invoices, travel vouchers, employee reimbursements in accordance with company accounting policies and procedures.  
    • Determine and assign proper general ledger and project number codes to all invoices and other requests for payment.  Record credit card transactions and reconcile credit card account.  
    • Verify the accuracy of accounts payable data and make any necessary corrections and adjustments.
    • Handle vendor discrepancies and reconciles vendor statements.
    • Process annual 1099s and 1096.  
    • Responsible for monthly reconciliation relating to Accounts Payable accounts including travel advance account.  
    • Serve as a payroll backup. 
    • Understanding of payroll processing, timesheets, labor, and journal entries.

    Required Qualifications

    • BS/BA degree in accounting, finance or business preferred, years of experience can substitute for degree
    • 3-5 years of Accounting experience
    • Experience using Deltek Costpoint
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
    • Must be extremely detail oriented
    • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
    • Works well independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment

    Desired Qualifications

    • Perferable to have 3 + years of experience in the government contracting industry
