  • About the Role

    eGlobalTech’s Cyber Solutions Practice is looking for a Penetration Tester to join a federal consulting team located in Northern Virginia. Qualified candidates must have experience with application security testing, be able to conduct advanced network penetration tests, and have excellent communication skills.  This opportunity offers accelerated career development, competitive compensation, and a robust total rewards package that includes (4  Weeks PTO w/ rollover, federal holidays, company paid events and trainings, 401K match after just 90 days, and more).

    Responsibilities

    • Conduct network and web-based application penetration tests on behalf of our federal customer and using OWASP best practices.
    • Conduct Web Services security testing and Database Penetration Testing with Burp Suite Pro, Kali Linux, nmap, Metasploit, Nessus, tcpdump, wireshark, Nikto, etc.
    • Look for security issues Cross Site Scripting, SQL Injection, Cookie Manipulation, Buffer Overflows, etc.
    • Conduct physical security assessments
    • Conduct logical security audits and hands-on technical security evaluations and implementations
    • Develop subject matter expertise of focused capabilities on behalf of our customer and eGlobalTech Cyber Solutions Practice.

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology, IT Security, Network Systems Technology or related field, or equivalent experience.
    • 8 to 12+ years of directly related experience or any equivalent combination of education, experience, training and certifications.
    • Ability to obtain a Public Trust.
    • Familiarity with web proxy tools such as Burp, Paros, and Fiddler.
    • Experience with penetration testing tools and tool suites.
    • In depth familiarity with Windows and UNIX/Linux operating systems.
    • Working knowledge of TCP/IP ports and protocols.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
    • Self-motivated and able to work in an independent manner.
    • Familiarity with Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP), National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publications, and Open Source Security Testing Methodology Manual (OSSTMM)

    Desired Qualifications

    • Database administration, device configuration hardening and compliance verification experience
    • OSCP, CISSP, GIAC, GWAPT, GPEN, CEH, or CCNA certification.
    • Familiarity with scripting in UNIX shell, PERL, or Python.
