  • About the Role

    The scope of this role is to provide program management support to one of our federal customers in a large enterprise environment.


    As a program manager, this role involves managing a team of about 15 resources ensuring projects are executed on time and within budget. The PM will also be accountable for ensuring consistent high quality deliverables and measurable successful outcomes. Strives for continuous process improvement and applies innovative and creative approaches to address customer problems. The candidate should have deep analytical skills with the ability to identify new business opportunities within the client environment and the ability to clearly articulate to both high level executives and domain experts.


    The goal of these services is to develop, maintain, and improve the network infrastructure and other technical services provided to internal and external agency stakeholders.


    • Act as the primary POC for all contract activities.
    • Ability to lead a Technical, service focused set of operations, in addition to stand along projects that require strong project planning, execution and risk management.
    • Ability to work in a dynamic environment where the client is often time challenged and requires creative and structured methods to manage expectations and requires transparency.
    • Provide management oversight and coordination for multiple projects.
    • Analyze and quickly come up to speed on current project status, objectives and goals moving forward.
    • Develop detailed project plans working in close conjunction with the client and relevant stakeholders using core PMI principals and techniques
    • Effectively and efficiently communicate across the organization leveraging collaboration portals.
    • Support and oversee project activities such as requirements analysis and review and documentation support as needed.
    • Responsible for timely delivery of high quality deliverables.
    • Provide group facilitation, interviewing, training, and additional forms of knowledge transfer.
    • Key coordinator between customers and multiple project teams to ensure enterprise-wide integration of reengineering efforts and application of best practice including e-business practices.
    • Provide daily supervision and direction to project teams, which includes team conflicts, dependencies and relationships between team focus, and collaboration.

    Required Qualifications

    • At least 10 years of experience providing program and project management support to infrastructure development and maintenance projects in the federal sector.
    • Capable of managing multiple projects retaining deep understanding of current status, issues and risks with clear vision on execution strategy.
    • Hands-on experience developing comprehensive project plans with well-defined WBS using MS Project and that uses core PMI principals and methods to manage the project plan and risk management process.
    • Prior experience in leveraging collaboration portals such as SharePoint.
    • Excellent written and verbal skills.
    • Ability to gauge strengths and weaknesses of the team and delegate work efficiently ensuring balanced and effective utilization.
    • Good problem solving skills and capable of facilitating an environment for creative thinking and innovative ideas.
    • Active PMP Certification
    • People centric Program and Project Management “style”
    • Bachelor’s Degree mandatory.

    Desired Qualifications

    • Familiarity with enterprise networking infrastructure and solutions
    • Familiarity with the DHS organization, including business policies and processes, and the technical infrastructure/network environment.
