  • About the Role

    eGlobalTech is looking to hire a mid-level DevOps Engineer to support cloud system migrations across many federal agencies. This is an exciting opportunity to learn new technologies and best practices from an experienced technical staff. Work with the best open source tools, including eGlobalTech's own Cloudamatic full stack deployment automation tool. The selected candidate will get to utelize their performance enhancement skills, program in multiple languages (ruby, python, etc.) and get to perform duties which support life-saving mission applications.

    Responsibilities

    • Cloud and system administration with strong expertise in Windows and Linux systems and at least one configuration management tool such as Chef, Puppet, Ansible or Salt
    • Work with software leads on developing continuous integration (CI) pipeline and unit test automation
    • Continually improve DevOps tools, processes, and procedures
    • Build, maintain, and scale infrastructure for Production, QA, and Dev environments
    • Develop and maintain Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery systems
    • Participate in ongoing design, implementation, and maintenance of systems and tools across our cloud stack
    • Strong programming expertise in Powershell and at least one language such as Ruby and Python

    Required Qualifications

    • 5+ years of experience working with Cloud technologies and migrations
    • Ability to perform operating system administration, application administration, database administration, and web administration including installation, software patches, system security, data backup, and troubleshooting
    • Associate AWS Architect Certification preferred
    • Experience with infrastructure services (LDAP, Active Directory, etc.)
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders, customers and management
    • Experience with AWS product line
    • Skilled in the development and management of failover and recovery operations
    • Source code management familiarity (git)
    • This position requires a clearance and/or badge that involves an extensive background and credit check
