  • About the Role

    eGlobalTech, an award winning Cyber Security/IT federal consulting firm, is looking for a Network Administrator who is willing to take on new and interesting work in New Jersey. We are looking for a technically experienced individual who is familiar with Cisco IOS, firewalls, routers, and switches.  The Network Administrator is responsible to work with the Network Engineer in the development of technical network framework and implementation of the technical solution in conjunction with the OEM for the Coast Guard Command and Control (CGC2) System.  Individuals in this position are also responsible for providing the day-to-day project support including client communications network administration.     Responsibilities

    • Work with the client in a working group setting to document the common technical and functional requirements for specific network infrastructure support
    • Support development of technical requirements for networking services
    • Develop technical processes for managing network devices on the network infrastructure
    • Work with the Network Engineer in conducting the performance testing of the network
    • Recommend configuration of hardware and software to test Sea Commander and integrated systems
    • Perform network administrative activities for Operations Analysis and Simulation Sciences System (OASIS) and CGC2 operational networks
    • Support the analysis for Host Based Security System integration
    • Maintain image and network for simulator equipment
    • Maintain Configuration Control of Network devices on the CGC2 Network
    • Support the Network Engineer in performing analysis for generic SW builds and IP schemes
    • Create and execute test scripts in support of testing and troubleshooting activities
    • Recommend improved design to S2S2 hardware, software, and network
    • Recommend improvements for system performance, stability and security
    • Installs and configures S2S2 in CGSAIL, NSCs and shore facilities

    Required Qualifications

     

    Technical Understanding / Skills and Experience

    • Understanding of network services, architecture, technical design and implementations
    • Understands multi-zone architectures (such as Internet, Intranet, Extranet and client/server)
    • Recent and relevant experience as an Cisco Network Administrator
    • Quickly understands the business issues and data challenges of client's organization and industry
    • Reviews and edits requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations related to proposed solution
    • Develops functional specifications and system design specifications for client engagements

    Project Execution

    • Meets project deadlines and schedules
    • Provides input about architecture and design patterns to project team
    • Consistently delivers high-quality services to our clients

    Communication

    • Communicate with internal and external customers and all levels of management
    • Effectively communicate technical information to non-technical audiences
    • Participate in internal team and client meetings, providing well defined agendas, tracking /managing action items and taking meeting notes

    Education / Experience

    • BS in EE, CS or related field or combination of studies and technically relevant experience
    • Current CCNA/CCNP certification
    • 5+ years of Network Infrastructure support
    • Active secret clearance

     

    Desired Qualifications

    • United States Coast Guard experience is a plus
    • Familiarity with Federal IT security guidelines including NIST SP 800-37r1 and NIST SP 800-53r3, HIPAA is a plus
    • Understanding of Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology and respective experience with its application in design and development phases and best practices is a plus
