  • About the Role

    eGlobalTech is seeking a DevOps Engineer to support a high visibility digital transformation initiative at a well known federal agency.  The DevOps Engineer will be involved in all aspects of the software development life cycle and will focus on automating CI/CD pipelines and on-boarding new and existing applications to the pipeline.  The ideal candidate for this position will have hands-on software development and software testing and integration automation experience.

    Responsibilities

    • Design, develop, operationalize and manage CI/CD pipelines 
    • Automate software delivery lifecycle activities and empower agile teams to automate builds, testing, and code reviews
    • Assist agile teams and on-board new and existing applications to the CI/CD pipeline
    • Establish playbooks and advocate adoption of agile engineering practices
    • Contribute and maintain wiki documentation 
    • Instrument pipeline metrics, observe and report performance

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline
    • Strong hands-on expertise in at least one programming language - Python, Java or Ruby
    • Experience implementing CI pipelines using Bamboo or Jenkins
    • Solid experience automating unit and integration tests
    • Solid skills in Linux and Bash scripting
    • Sound understanding  of networking and proxies
    • Sound understanding of microservices architecture, REST and serverless deployment models
    • Experience with at least one CSP - AWS, Azure or GCP 
    • Ability to obtain US government clearance
