About the Role

The scope of this role is to provide hands-on project management and technical support to the DHS Data Center Division’s Service Delivery Operations. In this position, you will lead the technical implementations of DHS systems and services and develop expert level IT implementation processes and procedures for all enterprise and customer business systems and data center operations. This role entails performing technical systems analysis, defining detailed infrastructure implementation requirements, analyzing business needs, and validating solutions with our Federal client and stakeholders. This opportunity offers excellent compensation and career growth opportunities, benefit packages that include 20 days PTO, continuing education bonuses, 401K w/ 3% matching after 90 days, and paid holidays and corporate events.


  • Provide technical and programmatic management oversight for multiple projects/efforts ensuring delivery of solutions are completed on schedule
  • Analyze and quickly come up to speed on current project scope, requirements, status, objectives and goals moving forward
  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and spend plans working in close conjunction with the client and relevant stakeholders
  • Provide leadership to customer teams with no direct people-management responsibility or directly manage company and/or customer technical personnel, including assignment and monitoring of day-to-day work
  • Responsible for the delivery/execution and tracking of projects costs, schedules, risks, issues, and performance
  • Manage schedules and prepares project portfolio status reports
  • Deconflict a portfolio of project schedules with each other as well as ongoing operations at the Data Centers; and recommend implementation solutions to minimize schedule slips/impacts
  • Develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervening and problem solving with Data Center customer and customer management to meet productivity, quality, and customer-satisfaction goals and objectives
  • Provide leadership to customer and/or company staff based on contract goals and customer/ company policy
  • Work is reviewed in terms of meeting contract objectives and schedules
  • Interpret and execute operating policies and procedures that affect the project team - recommend modifications to operating policies
  • Act as a project lead to meet customer and data center IT implementation schedules or resolve technical or operational problems
  • Directly participate in establishing and executing project controls
  • Develop and administer budgets, schedules, and performance standards
  • Ensure that the project is completed on schedule and within budget
  • Coordinate system enhancements to current systems
  • Detail requirements through product development and other functions to support the project team
  • Evaluate development projects
  • Provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity
  • Accurately estimate deadlines and readjusting duties as needed
  • Participate actively within the team by sharing information
  • Assist in providing technical guidance to less senior technical staff
  • Interact closely with managers, colleagues, and customers
  • Analyze customer/mission needs to determine functional requirements
  • Perform functional analysis to identify required tasks and their interrelationships

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree - Computer Science or directly related field (e.g., Information Technology, Information Science, etc.)
  • 4-6 years of experience with technical project management expertise in the areas of Data Center Infrastructure, Cloud (IaaS), technical integrations, consolidations, and enterprise services; additionally, experience in the documentation of technical processes, procedures, and work instructions to support IT Infrastructure Implementations and Operations
  • Experience in Microsoft Project, Visio, Excel, and Word
  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance provided by senior leadership
  • Effective verbal and written communication

Desired Qualifications

  • PMP and ITIL certifications preferred but not required
