  • About the Role

    eGlobalTech, one of DC’s fastest growing technology consulting firms, is looking for an Information Architect to design the information environment for a large federal agency's internet facing web site. This opportunity offers excellent compensation and career growth opportunities, benefit packages that include 20 days PTO, continuing education bonuses, 401K w/ 3% matching after 90 days, and paid holidays and corporate events.

    Responsibilities

    • Assess an existing site/property for usefulness, usability, visual design, content, and branding
    • Articulate objectives to guide the development of evaluation criteria
    • Identify strategic opportunities for competitive advantage based on findings
    • Support participatory design/user testing sessions
    • Present findings to clients
    • Provide recommendations to cross-functional teams based on findings
    • Lead participatory requirements gathering sessions and manage debrief process
    • Lead stakeholder interviews, including: conducting, preparing notes, and analyzing findings to understand key success factors for a project or pursuit
    • Facilitate user scenario planning sessions with both internal team and clients
    • Develop personas/segmentations based on research findings


    Required Qualifications

    • 3-5 years experience as a data analyst/architect
    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or a related study (or equivalent project-related experience)
    • Proven influence, communication, presentation and facilitation skills
    • Experience with innovation and ideation methods, such as design thinking
    • Business domain, data/content and process understanding
    • Data modeling and information classification expertise at the enterprise level
    • Understanding of common information architecture frameworks and information models
    • Understanding of meta-models, taxonomies and ontologies, as well as of the challenges of applying structured techniques (data modeling) to less-structured sources
    • Ability to analyze project, program and portfolio needs, as well as determine the resources needed to achieve objectives and overcome cross-functional barriers
    • This position requires a clearance and/or badge that involves an extensive background and credit check
