About the Role

We are searching for a seasoned project manager to join our high-energy, fast-paced team here at eGlobalTech to perform project schedule and task management for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Continuous and Diagnostic Management (CDM) Project Management Office (PMO) organization.   • Manage the implementation of network infrastructure/service projects to ensure they are completed on time with good quality. Completing projects on time is extremely important.
  • Work on multiple technical projects at the same time.
  • Develop, manage, and update project schedules for network infrastructure/service implementation projects.
  • Develop project management plans.
  • Oversee project tasks; ensure deadlines are met.
  • Identify, sequence, and coordinate sub-level tasks for timely completion when needed.
  • Oversee technical issues occurred during implementation and ensure they are resolved in a timely fashion.
  • Identify risks and issues, analyze impacts, develop and carry out mitigation strategies for resolution, and escalate accordingly.
  • Manage and ensure proper closure of implementation risks, issues, actions, and deliverables.
  • Effectively communicate project status and technical issues to management.
  • Support Component Program Manager to manage the project from all perspectives.
  • Monitor and conduct health checks over projects.
  • Produce executive level reports and diagrams regarding project progress.

Required Qualifications

  • 5-8 years of experience in successfully managing technical projects.
  • Proven experiences in successfully managing implementation or O&M of large-scale network infrastructure system (3+ years).
  • Track of record of implementing medium or complex IT projects, involving a number of project staff, clients, multiple vendors, and multiple system owners. Projects should be delivered on time and meet client requirements, with high team satisfaction.
  • Ability to manage multiple technical projects concurrently.
  • Must be capable to understand technical issues, recommend technical solutions, and lead customers and vendors – cannot rely on customer guidance.
  • Working knowledge & understanding of network infrastructure, shared services, credential management, cloud, and mobile
  • Knowledge of network security is a plus.
  • Working knowledge & understanding of Software Engineering LifeCycle (SELC) or Software Development LifeCycle (SDLC).
  • Naturally accountable and responsible, with strong leadership. 
  • Must be able to roll up the sleeves to get work done. Self-starter, self-motivated, self-directed, and self-sufficient.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, written and verbal, to all levels of an organization.
  • Strong facilitations skills (requirements sessions, design meetings, and progress and status meetings).
  • High analytical ability and abstract reasoning.
  • Expert of Microsoft Project; must be able to build project schedule with 500+ line of tasks using Microsoft Project.
  • Intermediate or expert level knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, especially Visio, PowerPoint, and Excel is a huge plus.
  • Bachelor degree from a reputable college is required.
  • PMP certificate is required.
  • ITIL, Certified ScrumMaster, and Kanban certificate are plus.
  • This position requires a clearance and/or badge that involves an extensive background and credit check.
