  • About the Role

    As one of the leading cyber security consulting firms in the DC area, eGlobalTech is seeking a Security Control Assessor to support a large integrated project team for a Federal customer. In this fast paced environment, the individual will be required to conduct information systems security control assessments to comply with FISMA, RMF, and departmental regulations.     • Implement the SCA strategy for the organization
    • Manage assessments according to a pre-defined plan
    • Develop and review Rules of Engagement, Security Assessment Plans and Security Assessment Reports
    • Develop practical and risk based approaches for security control implementation and vulnerability remediation
    • Work closely with ISSOs (contractors and Government)


    Required Qualifications

    • 15 years’ experience in security programs (master degree substitutes for 5 years)
    • 5+ years’ experience performing security testing and/or security control assessments
    • Deep understanding of NIST SP 800-53 and 800-53A
    • Significant experience with tools such as Nessus, Web Inspect, Db Protect and Splunk
    • Strong technical background with Windows, Unix, legacy systems and cloud
    • Ability to work on the customer site 5 days a week and local travel to customer sites in Greater DC area
    • Available for occasional travel outside local area (less than 10%)
    • Proactive about professional development and willing to obtain security certifications
    • Active DoD Secret clearance
    • This position requires a clearance and/or badge that involves an extensive background and credit check

    Desired Qualifications

    • One of the following: CAP, CISM, CISSP (or Associate), GSLC, CISA, CEH
