About the Role

eGlobalTech, one of DC’s fastest growing technology consulting firms, is looking for a Junior Tester to provide functional application and system testing for a Health and Human Services (HHS) agency. In this fast-paced environment, we expect our testers to interpret our client needs and deliver them before being asked for them. Testers will be able to work with the customers directly and gain great government work experience. This opportunity offers excellent compensation and career growth opportunities, benefit packages that include 20 days PTO, continuing education bonuses, 401K w/ 3% matching after 90 days, and paid holidays and corporate events.

Responsibilities

  • Perform business/system/quality requirements analysis and review
  • Identify the testable requirements and prepare the test strategy for each of the testing types identified
  • Design and develop automated test scripts for Regression testing
  • Ability to test and debug a .Net Web application
  • Work in an agile development
  • Perform production verification after software install

Required Qualifications

  • Candidate will have at least 1-3 years of experience with software or web application testing, preferably .NET
  • A 1-year experience with SQL
  • A 1-year experience with Selenium
  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, physics, communications, engineering, math or related field is required
  • He/she should be proficient in assisting developing test strategy, test plan and test cases for complex domain models such as workflow-oriented, data migration and web-based applications
  • Detail oriented, capable of working under limited direction toward predefined objectives, and have the ability to independently determine and develop solutions
  • Candidate must possess sharp analytical and excellent communication skills

Desired Qualifications

  • An advanced degree in communications, computer science, or related discipline may be substituted for two years of experience
  • Employer will accept a suitable combination of education, training or experience
