About the Role

Named one of Virginia's Fantastic 50, eGlobalTech is quickly growing it's numbers and looking to add a Senior Solutions Architect to lead large, complex, cloud-based, digital transformation projects for the federal government. Tasks will include technology and thought leadership, architecture and development of scalable solutions and shared services, supporting a wide range of technologies.


  • Lead the Solutions Engineering effort, providing technical architecture and software development services/leadership for new shared services, and integration/enhancements of existing services
  • Perform as a lead change agent for a diverse technical team and provide an expert capability and approach for completing the goals and requirements associated with the assigned project
  • Evangelize proposed solutions with key stakeholders and customers
  • Work collaboratively to identify the objectives and provide a breakdown of responsibilities, deliverables, phases and timelines to complete the delivery of the project in a timely and effective manner
  • Provide guidance and support documentation for all aspects necessary to deliver multiple, concurrent projects with project design or technical recommendations including planning, architecture, design, development, legacy migration, configuration management, build environments, testing, security, delivery and operations
  • Analyze and expand on existing requirements to develop and derive functional, non-functional and technical requirements that are buildable and testable
  • Establish and document the technical goals and strategy
  • Deep-dive into technical capabilities and proof of concepts to mitigate unknowns in a complex interconnected environment
  • Interact in a professional manner with customers, technologists, management, developers and other technical leads
  • Oversee teams performing the analysis, design and development of prototypes including user interfaces and technical frameworks, database design and enterprise efforts that build on the proposed technical architecture

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of successful software solutions architecture, engineering and delivery, in a large complex enterprise environment
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Effective problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related discipline
  • Thorough understanding of SAFe and/or Agile DevOps software delivery
  • Experience with the design, development, deployment and maintenance of mission focused enterprise systems and architectures
  • Expert knowledge of virtualized/cloud-based environments
  • Experience with automated testing of systems performance, load, stress, data interface, code coverage, and security capabilities
  • Experience with Service segmentation (data and business services), characterization, and definition
  • Experience leading large-scale digital transformations and development of managed/shared services
  • This position requires a clearance and/or badge that involves an extensive background and credit check

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Office of the CIO’s (OCIO) digital transformation and/or shared services initiatives
  • Experience supporting IT and digital transformation services for other DHS components (USCIS, CBP, etc.)
  • Federal Government Public Trust or higher security clearance (e.g. DHS Suitability)
  • PMP, CSM, SAFe or other relevant certifications
