About the Role

eGlobalTech, one of DC’s fastest growing technology consulting firms, is looking for a Splunk Consultant to join our Information and Cyber Security Practice. We have recently been awarded several new contracts and are excited about bringing onboard candidates who just love Splunk! Qualified candidates must be passionate about providing customized technology and Splunk based solutions to federal clients and eligible to obtain at least a public trust; secret eligibility is preferred. This opportunity is in Arlington, VA and offers excellent compensation and career growth opportunities, benefit packages that include 20 days PTO, continuing education bonuses, 401K w/ 3% matching after 90 days, and paid holidays and corporate events.

Responsibilities

  • Support the full system engineering life-cycle including performing requirements analysis, project planning and execution, tool and vendor evaluation and communication, and management consulting services for various Splunk engagements.
  • Provide consulting services as a reliable and validated technologist and Splunk subject matter expert (SME)
  • Develop content, create queries, and create/update dashboards using Splunk.
  • Lead working groups and foster collaborative and heterogeneous environments.  

Required Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge of Splunk tools and the ability to develop content, create queries, and create/update dashboards.
  • Ability to recognize and onboard new data sources into Splunk, analyze the data for anomalies and trends, and build dashboards highlighting the key trends of the data.
  • Familiarity with a Linux environment, editing and maintaining Splunk configuration files and apps.
  • Strong knowledge of security standards such as NIST and OMB.
  • Demonstrated consulting and analytical skills and experience.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Ability to interact with a variety of stakeholders to include vendors, senior leadership, CIOs, and CISOs.
  • Must be able to obtain a public trust. Secret Clearance eligibility is preferred.
