About the Role

In this role, you will be part of a large program management office (PMO) team responsible for managing, leading, and coordinating mission critical and highly visible IT projects and tasks, helping to direct government agency communication assets.


This role entails performing business systems analysis, defining detailed requirements, analyzing business needs, and validating solutions with our Federal client.  Other responsibilities include:

  • Managing all planning, coordination, reporting, and implementation for network and telecommunications infrastructure.
  • Overseeing coordination and orchestration of resources necessary to implement network and telecommunication changes/updates. Information Technology project changes related to ROCS systems including automatic train control, passenger information display, and yard management.
  • Helping to define change requirements, design solution and oversee and track the implementation of tasks to complete changes/updates, plan definitions, task management, overall deliverables, and status tracking for the systems.
  • Managing schedules and preparing status reports.
  • Developing mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervening and problem solving with eGT and customer management to meet productivity, quality, and customer-satisfaction goals and objectives.
  • Act as an advisor to meet schedules or resolve technical or operational problems.
  • Perform functional analysis to identify required tasks and their interrelationships.
  • Work with engineers on systems and network integration.
  • Assisting in tailoring the development process to meet project needs.
  • Providing solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity.
  • Accurately estimating deadlines and readjusting duties as needed.
  • Assisting in providing technical guidance to less senior technical staff.
  • Structuring logical documents and writing sections that require only minor editing.
  • Explaining and presenting good ideas frequently, effectively, and with confidence. 
  • This position requires occasional after hours and weekend support.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree. Computer Science or directly related field (e.g., Information Technology, Information Science, etc.) preferred.
  • 5+ years of Network/IT Technical experience.
  • Technical Certifications (i.e., CompTIA Network Plus, Security Plus)
  • Demonstrated excellence in communicating upstream/downstream.
  • Ability to work independently and provide sound exercise judgment and initiative.  
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and provide afterhours support.
  • Proficiency with MS Project, and Microsoft Office Suite, especially SharePoint.
  • Self-confidence and strong initiative.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in developing functional requirements for complex integrated systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently or under general direction.
  • Experience in analyzing user needs to determine functional and cross-functional requirements.
  • Experience in presenting enterprise changes into a large networking environment.

  • PMP or CAPM certification
  • ITIL certification
  • Cisco Network Associate certification
  • DOD 8570.01 experience
  • WAN project/program management experience
  • DHS experience
