About the Role

Develops enterprise Business Intelligence (BI) solutions using Tableau in an Agile team environment.


  • Creates dashboards and reports within Tableau
  • Designs and implements proof of concept solutions and creates advanced BI visualizations
  • Creates Ad-hoc Reports and solution mockups
  • Interacts with business users to understand and document their requirements
  • Develops impactful presentations and documents
  • Communicates complex topics with the team through both written and oral communication
  • Conducts extensive research to gather, analyze, and compose information required for preparation of client documentation, reports, etc.
  • Quickly understands the business issues and data challenges of client's organization and industry
  • Reviews and edits requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations related to proposed solution
  • Attends and contributes to any meetings as required and meets frequently with project team leads
  • Works with Federal Project Manager, internal and external customers, and special project teams
  • Troubleshoots technical issues and challenges within the Tableau toolkit

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years of IT experience
  • 3+ years of Business Intelligence and Data Analytics experience
  • At least 1 year of experience developing visualization solutions with Tableau
  • Experience developing reports in Tableau Desktop
  • Experience working in an enterprise Data Warehouse environment
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • SQL writing skills with an understanding of relational and dimensional data models (2+ years)
  • Experience with MS SQLServer, Oracle, and other relational databases
  • Experience gathering and refining requirements, interviewing business users to understand and document data requirements
  • Strong attention to detail, documenting business and technical requirement based on user interviews
  • Ability to translate functional requirements into concise technical solutions, data reports, and dashboards
  • Strong knowledge of the Student Exchange Visitor Program  (SEVP)

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience working with Amazon Redshift
  • Knowledge of US Immigration domain
  • DHS public trust clearance
