About the Role

This individual will support a high-profile enterprise level cybersecurity training and awareness program in the Federal Government. This role requires a broad range of support that includes maintenance and improvement of a Department cybersecurity training program. This role will also include performing tasks such as developing recommendations for process/program optimization, strategic planning, and working with the Department’s component organization to help them meet employee and IT user training and awareness requirements. 


  • Assist the organization manage a cybersecurity training program
  • Provide strategic planning recommendations for the program
  • Provide basic technical knowledge and skills on cybersecurity topics of interest and best practices and translate into training requirements
  • Research and recommend effective strategies to address training gaps of the organization
  • Develop and assist with the execution of communication and awareness campaigns in support of cybersecurity and training initiatives
  • Assist the lead with assessing needs to determine training demands
  • Perform needs analysis, custom course development, and evaluation and learning assessment
  • Perform facilitation of classroom training and Train-the-Trainer sessions, when required

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Education, public administration, communications or a related field -Advanced degree is preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience
  • Experience with instructional design and/or training
  • Federal government consulting experience
  • Ability to communicate and facilitate effectively with all levels of leadership
  • Strong writing and verbal skills; facilitation skills
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance level

Desired Qualifications

  • Cybersecurity experience and certifications are a plus
  • Master’s degree Education, public administration, communications or related field
  • Familiarity with Instructor-led training (ILT) and Computer Based Training (CBT)
